Obituary:
Mrs. Martha Irene Clemmons, age 74, of Hornbeak died Sat., May 28, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She was born October 10, 1936 in Trimble, TN the daughter of the late Algie and Lou Idell Dew Voss. She was a retired seamstress for the former Salant & Salant in Obion and a Presbyterian. She is survived by a daughter Jackie Campbell of Troy, a son Teddy Clemmons of Hornbeak, three grandchildren Leanda Roberson of Hornbeak, Robert E. Clemmons of Obion, Amber Clemmons of Hornbeak, three great grandchildren Katie Roberson of Hornbeak, Kaydence Clemmons of Obion, Elise Clemmons of Obion, four sisters, Katie Buckelew of Fulton, KY, Gale Godsey of Dresden, Shirley Hubble of Greenfield and Janie Duncan of Hopkinsville, KY. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clifton Clemmons on June 28, 2001 and a sister Jo Smith. Rev. Frank Dalton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kendall, Don Burpo, Bart Lemmons, Travis Burpo, Will Boyld, Thomas Burpo and Chris Burpo. Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Hogg, Sonny Godsey, Butch Hubble, J. R. Smith and Preston Knight.
