Mamie will be greatly missed. I have seen her at nearly all of the Clemmons Reunions that I have attended dating back to 1995.

Services for Mrs. Baird will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Baird, 96, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at Quality Health Care Center. She was a member of Baird’s Mill Church of Christ, a dietician with McFarland Hospital, Mt. Juliet Elementary School and a member of the Mt. Juliet Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Grover Cleveland and Mallie L. Clemmons Alsup; husband, Richard Baird; sons, Richard C. and David A. Baird; brothers, Peyton, Clyde, John, Grover, Wilson and Carl Alsup.

Survivors include: daughters, Joyce Midgett and Linda (John) Riggs; brother, Allie Alsup; daughter-in-law, Gaye Baird; grandchildren, William David Baird, Daniel Clemmons (April) Baird, Patricia (Don) Nicholson, Barbara (Donald) Barnes, Larry (Tonya) Jones, Wayne (Karen) Riggs, Rick (Jessica) Baird, Christy (Adam) Davis; great-grandchildren, Drew, Kyle and Daniel Baird, Brock and Austin Yeates, Matt and Emily Nicholson, Wyatt and Ava Jones, Savanah Anntell, Michael Riggs, Ethan Baird, Malachi Davis and Makenzy Davis.

Pallbearers will be Will, Daniel and Rick Baird, Larry Jones, Donald Barnes, Wayne Riggs, J.T. Alsup and Spook Spickard.
