This is the Marriage Bond for my Great-Great Grandfather William Keaton Clemmons and GG-Grandmother Nancy Lucinda McGuire.

Text of the Marriage Bond:

We, W. K. Clemmons are bound to the State of Tennessee in the penalty of twelve hundred dollars.  Witness our hands, this 22 day of May 1886.

The condition of this obligation is such that, whereas, the above bound W. K. Clemmons has obtained license from the Clerk of Wilson County Court to marry Lula Maguire now, if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the marriage for which said license is obtained, this obligation shall be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
