Earl Green Clemmons (1895-1965) was 22 years old when he filled out his World War I draft card on June 5th, 1917.  Congress had declared war 60 days earlier on April 6th, 1917.  It had to be a very anxious time for everyone.  Below is the actual handwritten draft card that Earl filled out.  He is listed as single but would be married to Mary Alice Clifton about 3 months later.
